The "British Isles" are shown on the map below...



The British Isles means all the land shown on the map... it is made up of two large islands and a number of small islands... some are very small and not visible on the map!

Notice, though, that there are two Countries... their names are written in CAPITAL letters... what are they called?

One of these Countries includes four Nations... can you suggest which one? (the Nations are called England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland)

1. Mapping the British Isles:

Using the outline provided, add all the labels from the map (fig. A on page 48)... make sure your labels are correctly in CAPITALS or Lower case!

2. Now colour the UNITED KINGDOM in.

3. Use an alternative (different) colour, shade in the REPUBLIC OF IRELAND.

4. Complete your map by adding a title and a scale.
